Buildio Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Buildio is a platform that helps homeowners in New Zealand find tradespeople and service providers ("we", "us"). Buildio is operated by Buildio Limited, 14 Freshland Dr, Flat Bush, Auckland, New Zealand, email tf@buildio.co.nz.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
2. What we collect
Account details: your email address; your name and email from Google or Facebook if you sign in with them; your password if you set one (stored encrypted — we can't see it).
Profile details: name, phone number, profile photo, company name and bio; for service providers, also trades, specialties, service areas, years of experience and registration number.
Jobs and AI chats: your conversation with the AI assistant, problem descriptions, location (suburb and city), urgency, and the photos, videos and files you upload.
Chats and activity: messages, photos, videos and files you send to other users; offers, reviews, reports and blocks; and nicknames you set for contacts.
Device information: a push notification token and your phone's language setting. We do not collect your precise location.
3. How we use it
To run the service: turning your description into a job, matching it with service providers by trade and area, and letting people make offers, choose, chat and review.
Translation: automatically translating jobs, offer notes, messages and bios between Chinese and English so people can understand each other.
Safety: automatically checking text and images against our community rules, handling reports, and preventing scams and abuse.
Notifications: sending push notifications about new jobs, offers, selections and messages.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
4. What other users can see
Jobs you post (problem, suburb and city, photos and attachments) are shown to matching service providers. Phone numbers are only shared between a homeowner and the provider they choose.
Your profile (name, photo, company, bio, trades, areas, rating and reviews) is only visible to users you are connected with — for example in a chat, or through an offer on a job.
5. Who we share it with
We use these providers to run Buildio, and they only process information on our instructions: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in; servers in Ireland (EU)), OpenAI (AI assistant, translation and content moderation), Expo and Google Firebase (push notifications), and Google and Facebook (if you choose to sign in with them).
These providers' servers are outside New Zealand. We choose providers with safeguards that give comparable protection to the New Zealand Privacy Act.
We may disclose information to government agencies or law enforcement where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and related data (profile, jobs, offers, chats, reviews and uploaded files) are deleted straight away. Reports are kept for a while for safety reviews but no longer linked to you. Our providers' backups may hold copies briefly until they expire.
7. Your rights
You can view and update your details in "Me" at any time, and delete your account and all your data under "Me → Delete account". You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold by emailing tf@buildio.co.nz.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit; photos and files are kept in private storage and only shared with authorised users through time-limited links; database access is restricted per user. No system is perfectly secure — if a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
9. Age
Buildio is intended for people aged 18 and over.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will let you know in the app about important changes. The last-updated date is shown at the top.

聊天和互动：你和其他用户的聊天消息、发送的照片、视频和文件，报名、评价、举报和拉黑记录，以及你设置的备注名。
设备信息：推送通知用的设备标识、手机的语言设置。我们不收集你的精确定位。
3. 我们怎么使用这些信息
提供服务：整理需求单，把需求单推送给工种和服务区域匹配的服务提供者，让双方报名、选人、聊天和评价。
翻译：把需求单、报名备注、聊天消息和简介自动翻译成中英文，方便不同语言的用户沟通。
安全：用自动审核检查文字和图片是否违反社区规定，处理举报，防止诈骗和滥用。
通知：发送新需求单、报名、选人、聊天消息等推送通知。
我们不会出售你的个人信息，也不会用它投放广告。
4. 其他用户能看到什么
你发布的需求单（问题、地址的区和城市、照片和附件）会给匹配的服务提供者看到。只有在房主选定某位服务提供者之后，双方才会看到对方的电话。
你的资料页（称呼、头像、公司、简介、工种、服务区域、评分和评价）只给和你有关系的用户看，比如在同一个对话里，或者一方给另一方的需求单报过名。
5. 我们和谁共享信息
我们使用以下服务商来运行 Buildio，他们只按我们的要求处理信息：Supabase（数据库、文件存储和登录，服务器位于爱尔兰（欧盟））、OpenAI（AI 问诊、翻译和内容审核）、Expo 和 Google Firebase（推送通知）、Google 和 Facebook（如果你选择用它们登录）。
这些服务商的服务器在新西兰境外。我们会选择有合理保护措施的服务商，以达到新西兰隐私法要求的同等保护。
法律要求时，我们可能向政府或执法部门提供信息。
6. 保存多久
账号存在期间我们会保存你的信息。你删除账号后，账号和相关数据（资料、需求单、报名、聊天、评价、上传的文件）会立即删除。举报记录会保留一段时间用于安全审查，但不再关联到你的身份。服务商的备份可能在短时间内仍有副本，到期后自动清除。
7. 你的权利
你可以随时在「我的」里查看和修改资料，也可以在「我的 → 删除账号」里删除账号和全部数据。你有权要求查看或更正我们保存的个人信息，请发邮件到 tf@buildio.co.nz。

8. 安全
数据传输全程加密；照片、文件存在私有存储里，只有有权限的用户能通过限时链接访问；数据库按用户设置访问权限。没有任何系统能保证绝对安全，如果发生可能造成严重伤害的隐私泄露，我们会按法律要求通知你和隐私专员。
9. 年龄
Buildio 面向 18 岁以上的用户。

我们可能会更新本政策，重要变化会在 app 里通知你。最后更新日期见页首。
